Hartung Trenz: Light Space Language

The artists Detlef Hartung and Georg Trenz created a concept for Loreley during next rheinpartie in October 2009. Now a catalog of their work is published. Hartung Trenz create graphical 3D rooms. The real rooms change into virtual rooms which tell stories and association chains float. Projectors are their tools. Light – Space – Language is the subject. Now both have published a catalog with the gallery Seippel. It’s available there for 15 euros. More>

rheinpartie in Koblenz: A Wall is a Screen

At the beginning of the week Thomas Steinebach from Koblenz Tourism met Kerstin Budde member of the film team A Wall is a Screen to plan the rheinpartie-project for Koblenz. From now on the Koblenzer citizens are called on for making available private and historical shortfilms on the subject German unit. The films will be projected at various places in the Old Town. Ross Ashton likes the Germania Monument

The rheinpartie-preparations are becoming more and more realistic. The London visual artist Ross Ashton (right) –famous for his Cambridge-Installation and the Golden Jubilee of the Queen – came with his colleague Paul Highfield (left) via Frankfurt-Hahn to measure the Germania-monument in Ruedesheim. In autumn on the ‘Day of the German Unification’ the Germania will be a shining symbol of the festival on the Rhine.

Jean-Michel Quesne – Scenographer of Rheinfels Scenery

skertzoThis week we had a guest from Paris. The scenographer Jean-Michel Quesne of Skertzò came to Saint Goar. Having just returned from the temple mountain of Jerusalem and shortly before a première in Stade de France he did an excursion to the Mittelrhein region. With his instruments he calculated angles and distances for the technical equipment of the projections. Thomas Winkler of Christie Digital Systems was also present. We are curious about the concept: Castle Rhinefels – rising from ruins…
